Key job responsibilities
General Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key member of the Startup BD HKT team in driving the necessary business insights, strategic and technical relationships with top startups and key stakeholders to establish meaningful business relationships.

  • Work with venture partners as their single point of contact of all things AWS, help them understand AWS benefits and where there may be exciting opportunities for their startups.

  • Participate actively in startup community events of all kinds to identify high potential startups and build personal relationship to startup founders and influencers; evangelize AWS’ value and innovation culture to startup founders and ensure they have full awareness and access to the full spectrum of the resources and services AWS/Amazon has to offer.

  • Work closely with founders to ensure they’re successfully engaging with AWS platform, making sure they have the technical and business resource required for optimal customer and identifying additional opportunities for them to work more deeply with AWS and other Amazon business units.

  • Work with and advise account management teams on solution selling and establishing executive relationships in their key accounts; keep abreast with VC investment trend and cutting--edge technologies, able to identify edge technologies, future unicorns at early stage.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree; 5+ years of experience and knowledge directly in the startup and venture capital ecosystem

  • 3+ years of experience working within the technology industry (cloud, software, mobile, SaaS, e-commerce, etc.)

  • Entrepreneurial “builder” mentality; Comfortable delivering results amid ambiguity and change; Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

  • Cantonese speaker is a must, good at Mandarin and English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Passion for helping startups grow

  • A technical or educational background in engineering, computer science

  • Entrepreneurial experience

  • History of working for, or selling to tech startups

Customer Solutions Manager

Key job responsibilities:

  • You will have the opportunity to collaborate with customers, Business Development, solutions architecture, software development and service teams to deliver technical solutions that solve some of the most complex and challenging technology problems of today.

  • You will work with customer and internal stakeholders to scope work, set business goals, identify appropriate resources, track and report on progress and develop schedules.

  • You will be a single point of contact to your customers, as well as internal stakeholders on the progress of all the activities related to your customer.

  • You will also need to assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide critical issue management, balance trade-offs, and encourage risk-tasking to maximize business value.

  • You will be an AWS evangelist and influence your customers to allocate the appropriate resources to achieve their goals.

  • A self-motivated problem solver; able to thrive in a dynamic and customer-focused environment
    Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills with precise attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain composure in stressful situations, responds to customer needs quickly and effectively, adapts to change

  • Highly analytical, technically proficient, and able to learn new tools and software quickly

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8+ years leading and managing complex, large scale, IT/technical/engineering client facing projects/programs

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or equivalent experience (Computer Science preferred)

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese

  • Experience working with current web technologies (especially Cloud)

  • Self-motivated problem solver; able to thrive in a dynamic and customer-focused environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PMP, Prince 2, PgMP, SAFe, or SCRUM/Agile certified

  • Direct experience implementing AWS/cloud services

  • Deep understanding of software development/engineering lifecycle from conception to delivery

  • Demonstrated leadership through influence

  • Prior experience working with or managing large technical programs, particularly at high growth startups or Fortune 500 companies

  • Working experience as a SCRUM master or leading a SAFe program

  • Prior experience working in a Technology sales organization
