Senior Officer, Programme Development and Strategic Management

The incumbent will participate in developing professional qualification programmes for accreditation purposes, and support in the programme enhancement process, including digitalisation of training programme and transformation from ordinary materials to E-learning materials.

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of professional qualification programmes to enhance professional competence of banking practitioners

  • Provide assistant in the development of E-learning materials with the use of various software such as Articulate 360

  • Handle routine monitoring for programme enhancement including planning, enrolment analysis and evaluation review

  • Assist in exploring and liaising with external partners to strengthen the training resources for the Institute

  • Support in projects related to Qualifications Framework and Accreditation for all professional qualifications

  • Support in marketing events and activities for promoting the professional qualification programmes

  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to raise market awareness of all professional qualifications

  • Ad hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor

Job Requirements

  • Degree holder or above; major in Business, Finance, Education or Human Resources disciplines is preferred;

  • Relevant experience gained from banking & financial industries or training and development, or experience in E-learning development, is an advantage;

  • Energetic, customer oriented, pleasant personality, self-motivated and proactive for fast-paced learning

  • Good team player with strong communication and people skills

  • Willing to take initiatives for more effective communications with teammates 

  •  Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese

  • Proficient in computer software applications including MS-Outlook, Word, Excel, Power-point, Chinese word processing

  • Immediately available is highly preferred

  • Candidate with less experience will be considered for Officer

Assistant Manager, Professional Assessment Development

Reporting to the Manager, Professional Assessment Development, the colleague will assist to manage the department to develop and drive assessments of the Professional Qualifications Programmes, including examination, exemption, grandfathering, certification, and conversion.  He/she will work closely with the relevant departments and teams in terms of operational execution. 

Job Responsibilities 

  • To develop high quality professional examinations and related services for Hong Kong and other operational areas, with both English and Chinese Languages

  • To provide support in the operations of examinations and professional certification of recognised banking qualifications, including invigilation and vetting of documents

  • To design and execute measures to manage and enhance the quality of professional examinations and events

  • To assist the continuous enhancement in relevant policy, procedure and guideline under the scope of professional competence and development

  • To participate in the projects on assessment agency, qualification framework and competence development

  • To liaise with in-house clients about the assessment, grandfathering and certification arrangement

  • To assist the execution of operations of relevant scholarship scheme

  • To assist the execution and operations of relevant government subsidy scheme

  • To communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners, including academics, bank practitioners and regulatory representatives

  • To provide secretariat support to institutional meeting including but not limited to AGM, HKIB Committee and Sub-committee meetings

  • To manage and execute projects as well as ad-hoc tasks assigned by supervisors

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree holder or above

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience, preferably with proven experience in education, administration, training or banking industry

  • Attentive to details, having the ability to multitask and work independently, self-motivated and eager to learn, must be a team player with strong leadership and coordination

  • Proven proficiency in both English and Chinese, both written and spoken

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good project management, quality management and strong analytical skills

  • Proficient in computer software application including Word, Excel, Power-point

  • Willing to work at irregular working hours occasionally with operational needs of examinations and corporate events

  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior Officer

Head of Relationship Management

To drive and sustain the development of the Institute by promoting quality Professional Qualification Programmes, including the Enhanced Competence Framework (ECF) and Certified Banker (CB), as well as Continuing Development Programmes (CDP). Our aim is to enhance the competency standards of the banking industry and elevate HKIB as the authoritative institute in setting these standards in Hong Kong and across the region.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the relationships with banks covering all HKIB business lines (ECF, CB, CDP, Membership and Events)

  • Assist the Professional Competence Development team in formulating strategies to promote and position HKIB professional qualifications to banks.

  • Responsible for product development, marketing and sales of continuing  development programme for all industry practitioners

  • Lead the Business Development Team and China Development Team, covering both HK and ex-HK businesses 

  • Drive team performance by setting strategic direction and formulating business strategies

  • Develop strategies to build collaborations with business partners and trainers to support the Institute’s development 

Job Requirements

  • Degree holder in any discipline

  • Minimum 12 years of experience preferably in training or front-line business functions with the education/banking sector, of which at least 5 is at management level

  • Holders of HKIB professional qualifications such as Certified Banker (CB) or ECF qualifications are preferable

  • Experience in banking product development or training & development will be an added advantage

  • Exceptional leadership skills and proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment with critical deadlines

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels

  • Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Able to establish network with senior executives within the industry

  • Energetic, self-motivated, resourceful, and result oriented

  • Excellent command in both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua
