Planning and Trade Practices Officer (Ref. PTPO)

Planning and Trade Practices Division
1-year fixed-term contract

Requirements:

1. A recognised university degree or equivalent in Economics, Business, Statistics, Data Management and Analytics, Social Science or Public Policy

2. Strong research background with practical experience in data collection, compilation and analysis

3. Hands-on experience in using statistical software is an advantage

4. Proficiency in writing English and Chinese reports

5. Be able to work under pressure and independently

6. At least 3 years relevant post-qualification work experiences.  Candidates of good qualifications but less work experience may also apply

Responsibilities:

1. Design, plan and conduct studies relating to consumer protection issues

2. Prepare submissions in response to consultations and inputs for enquiries

3. Liaise with stakeholders on research projects and promotion of good trade practices

4. Carry out data monitoring and updating work, work at non-office hours when needed

5. Support the Council’s works as assigned

Terms of Appointment & Fringe Benefits

Appointment will be offered on a 1-year fixed-term contract.  Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical insurance and MPF.  Contract may be renewed subject to available project fund resources and satisfactory work performance.
