About Us

The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) was established in May 2001 under the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance as the statutory body to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong, with a view to addressing the problem of urban decay and improving the living conditions of residents in old districts.

Assistant Officer, Community Development (with Secretarial Role)

Responsibilities:

  • To act as an assistant to the General Manager, Community Development to provide support to the team in the coordination of community projects and programmes

  • To assist in various duties such as preparation and consolidation of reports, submissions, replies and documentations

  • To serve as the budget coordinator within the Department and assist in the preparation of annual budget

  • To assist in the liaison with the stakeholders’ offices, including Legislative and District Councillors, District Advisory Committees, etc

  • To support the Department to provide day-to-day secretarial and administrative support including but not limited to arranging meetings, maintaining filing systems, answering phone calls, etc

  • To support the daily operations of the Department and perform ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Completed secondary education; Degree holder in Arts, Communications, Public Relations or any other related discipline would be a definite advantage

  • Strong proficiency in written English and Chinese

  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

  • Collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • 2-3 years of relevant administrative and secretarial experience is preferable

  • Proficient in using MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with various software and systems


Manager, Property and Land

Closing Date of Application: 16 January 2025

Responsibilities:

  • To assist supervisors in formulating place-making strategies and plans; to identify opportunities in the Authority’s projects, properties and places

  • To implement place-making programmes by leading team members to oversee the appointment and performance of main operators, facility managers, contractors, designers, agencies

  • To collaborate with tenants, event organizers, facility management, leasing teams, and other divisions and departments to provide the necessary support for the success of events and programs

  • To oversee operation of existing designated community spaces and upcoming new places with high level of place-making initiatives

  • To reach out to potential partnering organisations to present programmes to strengthen connection between the Authority’s projects, people, places, community; and to enhance place-making and community building impact

  • To review place-making projects in terms of budget plans, operational efficiency and services to the public

  • To supervise and motivate supporting teams, ensuring they deliver results and stay updated on the latest innovative technologies

  • To undertake other duties as may be assigned by supervisors

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in real estate, business, PR & marketing, event management, art & cultures, heritage or relevant disciplines

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory position in marketing, organising events, exhibitions, arts and cultural programmes, marketing, promotion or related fields

  • Good knowledge of event management, latest art, cultural, social trends

  • Good network with NGOs, art, design, cultural and community groups; business contacts with vendors, contractors, production houses, marketing, production agents, event managers

  • Mature, confident, creative, innovative; self-motivated with passion to collaborate with people of diverse background and culture

  • Highly-organised, with strong ability to work independently under pressure to meet tight deadlines

  • High integrity, sincerity and professionalism

  • Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua)
