Senior Manager, APAC MT Surgery Portfolio Transformation – EndoMech & Energy
Position Overview: As the Senior Manager of Portfolio Transformation Program within our APAC Regional MedTech Surgery Transformation PMO team for EndoMech and Energy, you will play a critical role in leading the evolution of our portfolio while shaping and executing our transformation strategy within a dynamic environment. Your leadership will influence cross-functional teams and guide strategic initiatives that align local market execution with global capabilities.
The Portfolio Transformation Senior Manager will lead and coordinate all strategic initiatives related to the EndoMech and Energy platform transformation and will be responsible for simplifying the way we work and streamlining our product portfolio. Key responsibilities include reducing portfolio complexity, driving improved efficiency, improved financial performance and unlocking opportunities for future growth for J&J MedTech.
The Portfolio Transformation Senior Manager will report to the AP MT Surgery APAC Transformation PMO Lead and will partner and collaborate closely with key regional, external, and functional stakeholders to establish robust analytics and governance.
Partner closely across product management, Global Strategic Marketing and LCM to understand portfolio transformation plan and drive implementation to ensure an efficient, productive and profitable product portfolio.
Builds and manages the end-to-end financial model for Margin improvement including Commercial metrics, SC metrics, and other Cost drivers in collaboration with Finance.
Drive pipeline prioritization and end-to-end, cross-functional resource alignment to realize both the short-term and long-term Platform goals. Develop and deliver project milestones and execute cost improvement projects for profitability.
Communicate timelines and progress across all functional partners and works closely with the LCM, Global, Regional and Local Marketing, Supply Chain, and all platforms to drive the project forward in a timely manner.
Manage expenses within budget.
Partner with Supply Chain ensuring a robust Integrated Business Planning process.
Create meaningful project, commercial tactic & financial metrics, track performance vs. plan.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead a cross-functional team responsible for end-to-end project completion in the areas of EndoMech and Energy, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives.
Leadership of Commercial Portfolio/Life-cycle Strategy: Provide direct leadership to the marketing and functional partners, driving the development and execution of strategies that optimize market performance. This includes defining key performance indicators (KPIs), tracking progress, and ensuring alignment with global, regional and local objectives.
Market Strategy Development: Collaborate with regional and country leaders to develop and implement market transition strategies that reflect global portfolio optimization efforts tailored to local dynamics.
Forecasting and Planning: Partner with supply chain and commercial teams to develop accurate demand forecasts and effective capacity planning for product launches and portfolio transitions
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including supply chain, finance and regulatory teams, to facilitate code creation, product registration, and launch strategies
Communication Development: Synthesize data and insights into clear narratives for diverse audiences, including senior leaders and external stakeholders, to foster alignment and drive action
Performance Metrics and Reporting: Regularly review and update program documentation, providing regular updates to sponsors, and evaluating project impact against strategic objectives
Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives that lead to improvements in execution capabilities across the portfolio, leveraging best practices and innovative solutions
Required Qualifications
Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering, Science or related field required.
MBA is a plus.
Required Years of Related Experience:
8+ years of progressive business experience in healthcare, with a strong background in marketing, sales, or project management.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Expert knowledge of MedTech Industry and Hospital Systems
Proven experience & ability in leading cross-functional projects and managing multiple stakeholders & priorities within a matrix organization.
People management experience is a plus.
Excellent collaboration, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work independently while demonstrating a high degree of initiative and leadership in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in the EndoMech and/or Energy business is highly preferred.
Strong project management skills and a keen sense for prioritizing tasks and managing resources efficiently to ensure timely project delivery.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, coupled with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%
Occasionally, this position will require non-traditional hours to support markets in different time zones

Maintain regulatory compliance and system compliance.
Ensure training assignment is appropriate and timely.
Support Regulatory Affairs Team on labeling project and other ad hoc project(s) where applicable.
Key responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance:
Archive regulatory documents and Health Authority correspondence.
Maintain regulatory documents and update information in regulatory system.
Maintain regulatory trackers and metrics.
Adopt regulatory requirement compliance practice: fortnightly review of Health Authority Regulations, Guidelines and Policy updates.
Monitor Global and Local SOP updates and training metrics.
Support Regulatory Affairs Lead to build and create process, ensure compliance to regulatory requirements as well as internal company standards.
Monitor HK Macau NCE registration status.
Prepare quality metrics of QSMR.
Renew product certificates, support product deregistration and manage related change controls.
Renew company licences issued by the Health Authority.
Supply statistics on Dangerous Drugs.
Support Macau regulatory submissions.
Provide administrative support for licence payment, document legalization.
System Compliance:
truVault Document Controller: Manage the document workflow under truVault. Create workflow, upload draft document and route for approval.
Corporate Entity Management System (CEMS): Upload Dangerous Drug Licences to the system.
SUMMIT Training System Administrator: Assign training according to LOC training matrix to other functions for Regulatory Affairs.
Labeling Project
Submit and obtain mock-up, production artwork approval in labeling system.
Support labeling review, eg using TVT system.
Monitor and implement labeling components.
Coordinate with supply chain to ensure effective launch for labeling changes and new product launches.
Required Qualification and Core Competencies for the role:
• Associated degree in science. Bachelor’s degree in science is preferred but not a must
• 1 to 2 years work experience, preferably in administrative work.
