Lecturer I / Lecturer II / Assistant Lecturer in Art Tech and Media Design (25260583)

The College invites applications for the position of Lecturer I / Lecturer II / Assistant Lecturer in Art Tech and Media Design. This position involves integrating the latest industry practices and advancements in art tech and media design into the curriculum. Candidates should possess relevant knowledge and/or experience in the following fields:

  • AR, VR and XR 

  • Art Direction

  • Audio and Video Production for New Media

  • Computer Animation and Motion Graphics

  • Data Visualisation Aesthetic

  • Digital Engagement Technologies for Art and Culture Fiction and Avatar Development

  • Digital Graphic Production

  • Generative AI for Design and Storytelling 

  • User Experience Design (UI/UX)

The appointee is required to perform teaching duties in related disciplines; provide academic guidance to students; organise and coordinate experiential learning activities for students; and assist in the ongoing review and design of courses and programmes. Applicants should have a strong link with industries and professional bodies and acquired relevant professional qualifications. 

Applicants should have a post-graduate degree in related disciplines and relevant teaching experience. A strong portfolio demonstrating both creative and technical expertise, or proficiency in industry-standard design and digital tools (such as Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, prototyping software, and AI tool platforms) are highly advantageous. Applicants must show dedication and strong commitment in teaching and education within and beyond the classroom. They must also be a good team player with excellent communication skills. Candidates with less experience will be considered for the post of Lecturer II / Assistant Lecturer.

Reference salary range: 

Lecturer I                 : HK$51,000 - HK$86,000
Lecturer II                : HK$38,000 - HK$53,000
Assistant Lecturer   : HK$30,000 - HK$39,000

The appointee will work at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus. 

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in August 2027. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.


Programme Officer (Ref. No.: 25260545)

Responsibilities:

The appointee will provide coordination and administrative support for self-funded undergraduate programmes offered by the College of International Education.  Major duties include assisting in the admission exercise; supporting Quality Assurance processes such as revision to curricula of existing programmes and preparing reports; compiling statistical data related to the programmes; supporting various committee work; and providing administrative and academic support to teaching staff and students, including class scheduling and student affairs.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree with at least one year of relevant experience;

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua);

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to details, organised and analytical mindset;

  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-motivation;

  • Ability to multitask under tight schedules; and

  • Competence in computer applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing) and IT skills.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written assessment.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in August 2027. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
