Executive Officer, School of Continuing Education
SCHOOL OF CONTINUING EDUCATION
Established in 2000, the College of International Education (CIE) is a self-funded unit of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), offering full-time Associate Degree (AD), Higher Diploma (HD) and Undergraduate (UG) Honours Degree Programmes at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus. It is a major education providing unit of the School of Continuing Education (SCE), one of the seven Faculties/Schools of HKBU. CIE currently enrolls over 3,500 students and is committed to the University’s mission of providing quality whole-person higher education with a Christian heritage. Applications are now invited for the following position:
Executive Officer (Ref. No.: 25260805)
The appointee will be responsible for providing high-level executive support and traditional secretarial support to the Director of CIE; and managing the day-to-day operations of the Director’s Office. Duties include: a) managing schedules, correspondence, meetings, travel arrangements, and office supplies coordination; b) assisting the Director in supporting the School Dean with administrative and organizational tasks; c) handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, maintaining files, records and database in good order; d) coordinating meetings, events, and activities for the College, ensuring efficient logistics and communication; e) supporting the coordination and follow-up of tasks and projects involving multiple stakeholders across divisions, acting as a liaison between the Director’s Office and internal/external contacts; f) preparing presentations, reports, and documents as required by the Director; g) anticipating the needs of the Director and proactively address potential issues and priorities; and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Degree holder with preferably 2 years of related work experience; or
Holder of Higher Diploma or Associate Degree with three years of work experience;
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail;
High level of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information;
Proficiency with office software, including MS Office Suite and calendar management tools; and
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in August 2027. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Course Assistant, Department of Mathematics
FACULTY OF SCIENCE
DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS
The appointee is expected to take up academic and administrative responsibilities in the department. The incumbent is expected to provide assistance to lower division mathematics, statistics and general education courses offered by the Department.
Responsibilities:
Assisting course instructors in conducting in-class exercises, marking assessments and class administration;
Assisting faculty members and the General Office in organising academic and/or student activities; and
Other academic and administrative responsibilities as assigned by the team leaders, Head of Department, or Programme Directors.
Requirements:
A recognised post-secondary qualification, preferably a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline;
A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Self-motivation and willingness to learn; and
Preferably experience in MATLAB/R/SAS.
The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.

CONTINUING AND PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION DIVISION (CPED)
The School of Continuing Education, one of the seven Faculties/Schools of the University and a major provider of continuing and professional education in Hong Kong, offers a wide range of full-time and part-time programmes at the post-secondary, undergraduate and postgraduate levels for young learners and working adults. It also offers in-house training and short courses to meet the community needs and market demands. Operated on a self-financed basis, the School and its College of International Education currently employ about 400 full-time staff and 550 part-time instructors. The School invites applications for the following positions in the Continuing and Professional Education Division:
Lecturer I / Lecturer II / Assistant Lecturer (Accounting) (25260775)
Applicants should possess relevant teaching and/or professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
Financial Accounting
Management Accounting

The appointee is required to (i) perform teaching duties in related disciplines; (ii) provide academic guidance to students; (iii) develop, coordinate curriculum and manage programmes; (iv) supervise projects; (v) coordinate with the part-time teaching staff; (vi) assist administrative work for the responsible programmes/courses such as admission interview, handling students’ enquiries and organising student activities.
Requirements:
Applicants should possess a higher degree, preferably at the doctoral level, in the relevant discipline, along with teaching experience. A master's degree may also be considered. Candidates must demonstrate dedication and commitment to teaching and education; meanwhile, research competence is a factor to be considered. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential.
Candidates with less experience will be considered for the post of Lecturer II or Assistant Lecturer.
Reference salary range:
Lecturer I : HK$51,000 - HK$86,000
Lecturer II : HK$38,000 - HK$53,000
Assistant Lecturer : HK$30,000 - HK$39,000
The appointee will mainly work at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus.

Post-Doctoral Research Fellow, Centre for Quantitative Systems Biology
FACULTY OF SCIENCE
CENTRE FOR QUANTITATIVE SYSTEMS BIOLOGY
The Centre is recruiting Post-Doctoral Research Fellows to pursue highly collaborative and interdisciplinary projects of developing new cancer immunotherapy, using novel 3D tumor organoid models, microfluidic “tumor-on-a-chip” platforms, and 3D single-cell imaging.
Responsibilities:
The appointees will conduct cutting-edge research in immuno-oncology studies and drug discovery, collaborate with experts in the field, and develop new biomedical platforms for translational cancer research. Requirements:
A PhD degree in any science or engineering subject, preferably Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Immunology, Cancer Biology, Computational Biology, and Biophysics;
Applicants with previous experiences in cell culture and cancer or immunology research are preferred;
Ability to work independently; and
Good communication skills.
A highly competitive remuneration commensurate with qualifications and experience will be provided.

The Academy invites applications for new Lecturer positions to teach courses in human geography, physical geography, public administration, general sociology, statistics, research methods, and advanced topics in quantitative analysis across these disciplines.
Responsibilities:
The appointee is expected to teach courses, supervise students' projects, and engage in program administration at the undergraduate level or above. Teaching in various special programmes within the Academy and/or Faculty is also expected.
