ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE OFFICER (HUMAN RESOURCES)

The Academy is looking for a competent and detail-minded candidate to provide a spectrum of administrative services at Human Resources Office to facilitate the development and operations of the Academy.

The postholder will assist supervisors to provide executive support in reviewing, formulating and implementation of policies and guidelines, including but not limited to conduct research and provide support for the conduct of consultancy studies or projects of the Human Resources Office; to liaise with internal and external parties on matters related to the work of the Human Resources Office; to provide support to recruitment activities and assist in maintaining employee records, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date; to arrange meetings/functions with stakeholders concerned and provide logistics support; to deliver administrative and secretarial assistance to facilitate the daily operations of the Human Resources Office, and assisting in ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Applicants should have:

(a) A recognised degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification;
(b) At least three years of working experience in human resources management and/or executive support, preferably within the public sector or statutory bodies;
(c) Good analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills;
(d) Good interpersonal skills with good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
(e) Good computer literacy, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a two-year renewable contract, subject to performance and mutual agreement.  A gratuity payment equals up to 10% of the total basic salary earned during the contract period, may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Academy’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, that equals 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits. The starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

CARPENTER II

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Master Carpenter, assisting in producing high-quality scenery for various theatrical productions and events of the Academy. This role offers an excellent opportunity to demonstrate and develop skills in scenic construction, as well as supporting student learning.  The appointee is required to work 44 hours per week and may be required to work in the evenings of weekday, on weekends and public holidays. 

Required Qualifications: 
(a) A relevant degree/diploma and/or professional training/experience in theatre production or a related field; 
(b) Experience in carpentry or scenic construction, preferably in theatre or live event production;
(c) Proficiency in using woodwork and metalwork tools and equipment, along with knowledge of safety protocols;
(d) Good communication skills for effective collaboration with production teams and students; and
(e) Ability to troubleshoot issues related to scenic construction and adapt plans as needed.

Additional Desirable Criteria:
(f) Familiarity with computer-aided design software, particularly AutoCAD and CNC;
(g) Working experience in education institutions; and
(h) Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese.
