Assistant Director

Mission: To promote a caring and non-violent environment for the optimal growth and development of our children through delivering quality services in the areas of prevention, training, crisis intervention, treatment and advocacy.

Vision: To be recognized as a leading NGO in Asia Pacific specializing in child protection and safeguarding.

Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Director in leading the agency to promote a caring and non-violent environment for the optimal growth and development of our children

  • To promote the agency brand and services, execute approved plans and achieve organizational performance objectives

  • To identify the needs of the community regarding detection, prevention and treatment of child abuse problems

  • To liaise with welfare services, government departments, and other appropriate organizations

  • To work with media on child protection and welfare concerns

  • To deputise for the Director in her absence

Requirements:

  • A Registered Social Worker with degree or above in social work, social science or related disciplines

  • At least 12 years solid work experience in the social work field or a relevant public sector organization, preferably 3 years’ experience in a senior position

  • Inspirational leadership with strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to manage team members to raise efficiency, productivity and quality

  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin

  • Having a strong network in the community is definitely an advantage 

  • Career aspirations for leading ACA to achieve its vision and mission
