Director
Responsibilities
To lead the agency to promote a caring and non-violent environment for the optimal growth and development of our children
To promote the agency brand and services, execute approved plans and achieve organisational performance objectives
To identify the needs of the community regarding detection, prevention and treatment of child abuse problems
To be responsible for the publicity of the services of the agency and initiate fund raising programmes
To liaise with welfare services, government departments, and other appropriate organisations
To work with media on child protection and welfare concerns
To solicit the community's financial support on the agency's activities
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree or above in social work, social science or related discipline
At least 12 years’ solid work experience in the social work field or a relevant public sector organisations, of which three years at senior managerial level leading a professional team
Inspirational leadership with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage the team to raise efficiency, productivity and quality
Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese, English and Mandarin
Career aspirations for leading ACA to achieve its mission and vision
Having a strong network in the community is definitely an advantage
Social Worker
Project Overview
The project aims at supporting young or single mothers to alleviate stress, equip parenting skills and strengthen social networking through regular home visitations by volunteers, family gatherings and outdoor activities.
Key Responsibilities
Recruit and train volunteers to provide regular home visits to those target families
Develop and deliver positive parenting workshops and public education programs
Communicate effectively with parents and volunteers and provide support
Assist in agency and centre services
Requirements
Registered social worker with a passion for child development
Degree holder with at least 2 years of working experience in the social work field
Caring, patient, energetic, and motivated
Project Assistant
Job Duties:
We are looking for a flexible and creative Project Assistant to join our team at Tuen Mun Centre. The candidate will be responsible for preparing session plans and materials for caregivers’ and children’s mental health activities, assisting with large scale exhibitions, projects and centre activities. The candidate should be a diploma holder, or with post-secondary education or above, and with at least 1 year of relevant experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Passion for working with children and families are preferred.
