Senior Logistics Specialist
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Foster a safety culture that leads to and sustains world-class incident-free operations by visible leadership. Drive standardized processes, systems, and improvement of environmental, safety and health performance as appropriate. Oversee local execution of company transportation process in a safe and efficient manner for both Fuel and Lubricants part, compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with Supply Chain Logistics Cluster and Regional Transportation Group to ensure appropriate deployment of Best Practices in a prioritized fashion with highest impact initiatives implemented first.
Conduct incident investigation, identify and share Lessons Learned and best practices with Regional and across the Cluster for the good of the enterprise.
Implement and steward transportation lean optimization projects and safety programs.
Accountable for cost control oversight for all transportation operations within the Cluster (deliveries and secondary transportation) and ensure haulage payments are aligned with P2P ERS system.
Oversee service levels to provide a superior level of customer satisfaction through all customer facing activities including Auto-replenishment programs, NODS (No order delivery system), spot truck requirement, and new delivery sites assessment.
Collaborate with Retail, Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Aviation to ensure that customer expectations are met in the most economical manner. Establish and chair SM&I meeting with all stakeholders, Haulers, Retail, C&I and Procurement etc to review performances and address operational issues.
Develop C&I new business/tendering strategy and competitive quotation to satisfy customer demand. Close collaboration with stakeholders to formulate and implement negotiation. Work with Procurement, Retail, C&I, Regional Transportation Coordinator, and local terminals in tender preparation before expiration of transpiration agreement.
Responsible for haulage contract negotiation and contract owner of MFTA (Master Fuel Transportation Agreement) to ensure global Road Transport Safety standards, tools and reporting systems are executed consistently by all haulers.
Work with Logistics Manager & Operations Manager to drive cost reduction, improve safety performance and efficiency increases by gaining greater capacity and time utilization of all transportation fleet in Fuel & Lubricants.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree holder
Minimum 10 years’ experience working in warehouse, transportation, Import Export or other logistics field
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in an operations environment
Ability to achieve objectives at agreed upon cost and service levels
Execution of logistics transactional process
Warehouse Management System in a high-sku environment
Ensure full compliance with company and statutory requirements
OE/HES knowledge and execution of OE process
Communication skill and can be a team member to perform team work
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics or Supply Chain
Experience in digital supply chain or logistics
Experience in TPM, Lean and project management
Experience in managing 3rd Party Logistics Providers including a keen understanding of cost models utilized
Familiar with warehousing and transportation of chemicals products
Knowledge of financial measurements of logistics
Strong computer literacy and demonstrated use of technology to improve logistics performance
Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
Tactical and strategic thinking skills
