Assistant Direct Retail Manager

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Deliver a vision and strategy to drive transformational growth on direct offline business

  • Anticipate on changes in the retail landscape, shopper behaviour or competitors and develop a 360-degree business plan to ensure future profitable growth

  • Collaborate closely with other functions such as marketing, finance, operation and supply chain to align your sales plan

  • Deliver sales and profitability targets

  • Deliver sales and gross margin targets in line with budget

  • Agree, update, communicate and administer all areas of the promotional planning cycle

  • Deliver an accurate twelve-month rolling forecast that accounts for sales trends, promotions, seasonality, distribution changes, new product launch and product exits

  • Manage a promotional budget in line with forecasts and retail activity plan

  • Understand profitability through the regular use of a retained margin tracker

  • Align the organization to your stores and negotiation objectives, with an agreed timeline of deliverables

  • Work out new store expansion plan based on company strategy, local retail landscape

  • Execute new store opening plan from rental agreement negotiation, sales forecast, P&L approval, IT application, legal permission application, etc. 

OTHER SUPPORTING ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Achieve the highest standards of execution for the DYSON brand in stores in line with Selective Distribution agreement

  • Maximize shopper and consumer understanding through effective category management

  • Communicate retail activity plan to the field team and provide the field with the necessary tools to guarantee high levels of execution

  • Use data regularly from GFK and Field Sales or other potential tools/dashboards to improve compliance and in store standards

  • Ensure that NPD roll out across the retailer is of a high standard

  • Deliver compelling, well thought through and inspiring presentations to the retailer

  • Hold regular face to face meetings with retailer commercial teams

  • Align the organisation to your stores and negotiation objectives, with an agreed timeline of deliverables

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Min. 5 years commercial hands-on sales experience managing and developing key accounts or direct stores.

  • Proven delivery of sales results (managing existing accounts & developing new business) – independent sales responsibility for a consumer brand/distributor leading sales team in a territory for a mid-sized company.

  • Better to have experience of leading new direct store opening, including location selection, rental negotiation, new store application presentation to top management, store opening execution after approval

  • High level experience of key account/customer negotiations or distributor management.

  • Consumer Goods background or technology sales background.

  • Demonstrated ability of critical thinking and problem solving.

  • Strong communication, influencing, and negotiating skills

  • Excellent personal and business presentation skills.

Manager, eCommerce

About the role:

The primary focus of the eCommerce Manager is to deliver sales through out to plan, operate and improve Go-To-Market strategy, digital marketing & e-contents in-line w/ sales & company strategy. He/She will be required to engage with internal Sales, Marketing and related group functions to develop right contents and activities then implement these across marketplace.

E-Commerce Channel Sales    

  • Forecast & take accountability of total year P&L for accountable channels (By SKU level)

  • Build & execute sufficient conversion drive plan (RTB) into campaigns

E-Commerce Channel Digital Marketing (Performance media)       

  • Set right media plan (performance media) to build sufficient quality & quantity of traffic into our shops

  • Optimize best fit SEM strategy, relevant visuals & assets with claims in-line with objectives

  • Track & analyse e-fundamentals’ improvements and each KBD (Key Business Driver) elements’ combinations linking to sell-out

  • Track & analyse shoppers journey path and improve each stage

  • Create new consumer & market preferred RTB (Reason To Buy) mechanisms based on market consumers insights

E-Commerce Channel Operating      

  • Support Dyson.Com UX/UI improvement & optimization (working with UIUX team)

  • Build & Update Brand and promotion page in-line w/ company strategy (working with UIUX team)

  • Manage & plan right internal OSB (Order, Shipping, Billing) process co-working w/ finance & logistic teams

Disciplined work process

About you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant business related field

  • Minimum 5-8 years eCommerce operating experience required; some of which must be with a strong consumer brand; preferably hands-on experience in 3rd party marketplaces (e.g., HKTVmall, ZALORA etc.)

  • Minimum 3 years brand.com business experience including sales/performance media

  • Strong hands-on operating skills, especially in brand equity delivery contents.

  • Performance media planning / reviewing / optimizing / execution.

  • Strong team player capable of building and motivating teams.

  • Experience of creating change, challenging the status quo, establishing a product category or brand with entrepreneurial spirit

  • Strong digital media marketing & sales experience

  • Self-starter who sees things to completion.

  • Energetic, engaging and positive approach.

  • Assertive, prepared to see through plans and overcome objections.

  • Intelligent, quick-thinking, alert and results driven.

  • High level of communication skills both verbal and written in English and Mandarin.
