The Hong Kong, China Rowing Association (HKCRA) was established in 1978 and is the governing body for the sport of rowing in Hong Kong. It is affiliated to the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, and to the Asian Rowing Federation (ARF) and International Rowing Federation (FISA).

The HKCRA operates two rowing centre along adjoining the Sha Tin Shing Mun River in Sha Tin. They are Sha Tin Rowing Centre and Jockey Club Shek Mun Rowing Centre, located at Fo Tan and at Shek Mun respectively. Most Hong Kong rowing clubs are based at these two Centres for regular trainings and competition. Sha Tin Rowing Centre also serves as the official headquarters and administrative offices of the Association.

The HKCRA has entitled and organized different types of promotion and development programmes and activities including “Youth Development Programme”, “Para-rowing Programme”, “Indoor Rowing for Schools Programme” and “Coastal rowing activities, aiming to expand the sport of rowing at community level for different people indeed with the ultimate goal to achieve rowing for all.

Events Executive (Job Ref.: EE)

The salary range starts from HKD17,606 per month

Job Descriptions:

  • Assist the organisation of all competitions, events and promotions effectively and professionally;

  • Handle the administration and logistics works of each event, including event promotion, production of all event-related collateral as well as ensuring the competition related equipment is prepared properly and operated in good condition;

  • Handle relationships with volunteers to oversee the smooth running of volunteer-support events,

  • Assist in preparing budget, statements of accounts and reports for LCSD and the Associations;

  • Assist the Events Manager to provide quality administrative support to related Committees and daily administrative duties;

  • Organise special functions and events upon request; and

  • To perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisors.

Entry Requirements:

  • Grade E /Level 2 or above in 5 subjects including English (Syllabus B) and Chinese in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or Level 2 or above in five subjects including English and Chinese in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination, or equivalent; Remark: Grade C in English Language (Syllabus A) is recognised as equivalent to Grade E in English Language (Syllabus B)

  • Good communications and interpersonal skills;

  • Able to work independently, detail-minded, task prioritising and effective time management;

  • Self-motivated, result-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and high team spirit;

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and good command of spoken and written English and Chinese;

  • Fresh graduates or early retirees are welcome;

  • Sports or events organisation experience is preferred;

  • Willing to work outdoors, on weekends and during public holidays; and

  • Immediate availability is preferred.

Working Hours

The salary range starts from HK$17,606 per month, subject to experience and qualifications the HKCRA would offer competitive salary top-up and benefits.
