IT System Administrator

The role

Leads IT infrastructure upgrades and coordinates projects from a technology perspective, and ensure these activities are consistent with the Global Business & IT directive:

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for set up of Network and Systems in Hong Kong & Asia Offices

• Level-two escalation support to Infrastructure issues that require technical specialization, execute IT Disaster Recovery Plan (IT DRP)

• Performing preventive maintenance of Infrastructure devices and services, maintain APAC region Infrastructure inventory and warranty service

• Deployment of security fixes on Infrastructure services in accordance to Corporate Vulnerability and Patch Management policy

• Create & maintain document portfolio of Site Catalogue, Operations / Audit Best Practices, trouble-shooting & related solutions knowledge base

• Verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs

• Manage suppliers through Procurement team by ensuring several suppliers proposals for any needs to ensure best competitive solutions for Thales

• Manage projects assigned and ensure completion in accordance to project timeline

Requirements:

• High diploma or above of Science in Electrical Engineering/Electronics/Computer Science or equivalent working Experience

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, HP Server and Storage hardware, and LAN/WAN technologies, VMWare ESXi/vCenter and VEEAM Backup

• Experience in documentation standards and diagramming

• Knowledge of Linux / Open Source tools and applications, Server Room setup will be an advantage

• Fluent in spoken and written English with strong interpersonal and communication skills
