Clerical Assistant (Ref. CA-FAD)
Finance and Administration Division

3-year probationary contract

 

Requirements:

  1. (i) Level 2 or above in five subjects, including English and Chinese, in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE); or (ii) Level 2 / Grade E or above in five subjects including English and Chinese, in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE)

  2. Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, need to interact with a variety of people, both in person and over the phone

  3. At least one-year customer service work experience, able to assist visitors or callers with inquiries and issues in a helpful and courteous manner

  4. Proficiency with office software, email and phone systems

  5. Self-motivated, detail-oriented and highly organised, accurate in taking messages and maintaining records

  6. A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks, such as answering phones while greeting visitors

  7. Polite and pleasant personality with good interpersonal skills, able to handle unexpected situations

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the reception counter of the Headquarters for providing professional frontline services to the public

  2. Handle telephone enquiries, transfer phone calls, including complaints to respective staff and politely usher walk-in visitors to designated area in good manner

  3. Dispatch electronic correspondences (both complaints and enquiries) from the public to respective staff timely for their onward processing as specified in the Council’s performance pledge

  4. Maintain the tidiness of the reception counter

  5. Provide administrative support to the Council’s activities as assigned

 

Terms of Appointment & Fringe Benefits

Appointment will be offered on a 3-year probationary contract.  Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical insurance and MPF.
