Officer – Award Service & Operations
Key responsibilities:
To promote the Award Scheme to young people by engaging with youth organizations
To liaise with different organizations and schools for the operations of the Award Scheme
To train up Award Leaders and volunteers in support of the Award Scheme
To organize orientation and training courses for Award participants
To act as Award Leader for a group of Award participants
To design promotional materials (Poster & Video etc.) and handle promotion work for recruiting Award participants
To produce printed and on-line training materials for the Award Scheme
To help arrange international training visits and programmes for overseas visitors
To be responsible for Award Centre management
To assist and to prepare funding proposals
To perform other tasks assigned by supervisor
Candidates should:
Possess a recognized university degree or equivalent with over 1 year relevant experience.
Have a good command of both English & Chinese (written & spoken), Putonghua preferable.
Strong communication skills, enthusiastic in youth development, independent, mature, a good team member and have a pleasant personality.
Familiar with MS Office applications, Chinese word processing, graphic design and video editing software, and database management is an advantage.
Willing to work overtime and during weekends.
Immediate availability is preferable.
Officer – Youth Development (Water Sports)
Duties:
Lead and coach adventure training or water sports activities
Plan and organize camp services and programmes
Maintain and monitor project schedules and plans with internal and external parties
Monitor various projects to achieve KPIs
Promote and raise awareness of the Award
Prepare reports and provide administration support
Logistics arrangement for programmes and events
Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
Possess a recognized university degree or above in any disciplines.
Level 2 or Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent.
Certificate of First Aid and Sports Coaching or Water Sports Coaching.
At least one-year experience in program leading.
Experience in leading and organizing youth and children training activities will be an advantage.
Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
Self-motivated, strong organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Able to work independently and as a team.
Eager to work with young people in a non-profit setting.
44 hours per week.
Shift and overnight duty required, candidates may be required to work on Saturdays, Sundays or Public Holidays.
