Assistant Manager, Corporate Communication (Ref: PRCD/SEA-2243/F)

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will be responsible for performing a wide range of administrative and strategic duties to ensure the smooth operation of the Federation. Your primary duties will include:

1. Gatekeeping Event Invitations:

  • Handle all incoming event invitations addressed to the Federation’s leadership;

  • Analyze and assess the invitations based on their relevance, significance, and potential value to the Federation;

  • Propose attendance decisions to the leadership, considering their availability and strategic priorities.

2. Sponsorship Management:

  • Manage incoming sponsorship requests from other organizations;

  • Evaluate the sponsorship opportunities based on their alignment with the Federation's vision and mission; Propose appropriate sponsoring activities to the leadership.

3. Liaison and Event Support:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the chamber's leadership regarding event scheduling and attendance;

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of the chamber's participation in events;

  • Liaise with leadership to gather insights, requirements, and preferences for effective event representation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above;

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience as an executive assistant or in a similar role supporting high-level executives;

  • Experience in public relations or corporate communications is a plus;

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly;

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills to liaise with various stakeholders and represent the chamber professionally;

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information;

  • Good written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in Chinese and English;

  • Competency in MS office applications and webpage applications;

  • Flexibility to work additional hours when required and attend occasional after-hours events.

Officer, Member Services (Ref : MRD/O-2251/F)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Being part of the Member Services team, the incumbent will be responsible for membership marketing, industry groups communication and event management to support members acquisition and retention. The candidate is expected to:

The Officer reports to Manager and performs the following duties:

  • Provide hands-on support on corporate events, members activities and provide marketing services in Hong Kong and the Mainland in formats of seminars, exhibitions, mission, award schemes, business matching, and other business-related networking events, etc.

  • Provide secretariat services to the assigned industrial groups and committees for membership services, including preparation of meeting agenda, papers and minutes as well as supporting the industry group-wide initiatives such as funding application and implementation of marketing projects

  • Drive members acquisition and retention through members visit and provide high-quality services to members

  • Prepare promotional materials, i.e. flyers, brochures, eDM, social media positing for event marketing and promotion

  • Maintain excellent communication and relationship with internal and external parties for better results

  • Provide support to any other ad-hoc duties and activities

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • University graduate in marketing, event management, public relations, communication, journalism, hospitality or business-related disciplines

  • Minium 2 years of relevant experience; working in trade / business associations or governmental offices preferred, but not essential

  • Previous experiences in Committees' support would be an advantage

  • Self-motivated, well-organised, detail-minded, and good sense of responsibility

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)

Head of Business Division (Ref : BD/H-2252/F)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • A member of the Senior Management Committee (SMC), she/he will report to the Director-General;

  • Leads thought leadership and actively drives diverse business streams for the Federation, with a focus on overall business development for existing sectors such as Intellectual Property, Trademarks, STEM-related fields, and Origins Certification and  organizes seminars, talks, and innovation initiatives to pursue new business opportunities and expand Federation memberships.

  • Manages and oversees the Business Division responsible for the operations of the Q-Mark Council;

  • Closely collaborate with other members of the SMC to proactively set Key Performance Indicators every year to implement business plans and lead the Business Division to achieve targeted objectives effectively and efficiently;

  • Adopt an approach to drive cost-benefit analysis for our business models;

  • Oversees and manages the secretarial support of the relevant Federation committees and councils, in particular, the Business Development Committee and the Q-Mark Council, and make recommendations regarding major business, commercial and/or operation matters and strategies, such as, reviewing pricing and charging polices, business sustainability, marketing promotions, PR and communication strategies accordingly;

  • Closely collaborate with other Division Heads and Divisions to pursue FHKI’s Mission and Vision

  • Undertake any other projects or initiatives as may from time to time assigned by the Director-General.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree holder preferably in business management, professional, marketing or related disciplines from a top-ranked university;

  • At least 15 years of senior management experience with an extensive network;

  • Conversant with the legal, regulatory and industrial practices;

  • Possess core competencies, including, strong business acumen, leadership and management skills and acute industry focus;

  • A team player with critical thinking, planning and analytical skills with a driven and proactive personality;

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and presentation skills;

  • Strong time management with an ability to work under pressure under tight time schedule;

  • Experience in statutory bodies, NGOs or business/industry associations is an advantage;

  • Excellent in written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua) and English;

  • Business travel may be occasionally required.

System Engineer (Ref.: OD/ITT-2253/F)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the FHKI Information Technology Manager, the Administrator is responsible for:

  • Provide technical support to users and maintenance to various systems, hardware and software applications;

  • Diagnose and solve computer hardware, software and network access issues;

  • Assist for Conference event setup and support on PA System;

  • Desktop / Server Hardware & installation, configuration, and administration.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or above in Information Technology or related disciplines;

  • Ability to work independently, cooperate with other in team efforts;

  • At least 2 years’ experience on troubleshooting skill, Computer / server support and resolve technical issues with Windows and iOS;

  • Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese;

  • Knowledge in Web programming / VMWare is an advantage.

Manager, Intellectual Property(Ref : IPC/M-2255/F)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Intellectual Property professionals in delivering, marketing and delivery of Intellectual Property services, especially patent, trademark, copyright and design;

  • Promote Intellectual Property protection and consultancy services to the industries;

  • Handle Intellectual Property enquiry and maintain the project management system;

  • Assist the Head of Business Division in keeping the quality and develop new Intellectual Property services;

  • Provide Intellectual Property training to team members;

  • Team budget control.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Science or Engineering or law with at least 10 years’ experience in Intellectual Property area;

  • At least 5 years of management experience;

  • Intellectual Property qualification as patent attorney is a definite advantage;

  • A team player with critical thinking, planning and analytical skills with a driven and proactive personality;

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and presentation skills;

  • Experience in statutory bodies, NGOs or business/industry associations is preferrable but not a must;

  • Good Written and oral communication skills with proficiency in English and Putonghua;

  • Occasional travelling outside Hong Kong may be required.
